About

Atiba Adams is the founder of 222 Church, a Christ-centered discipleship movement established to help people discover their identity, purpose, and authority in Jesus Christ and become equipped to make disciples who make disciples. His vision is rooted in the biblical principle found in 2 Timothy 2:2, which calls believers to entrust the truth of God's Word to faithful people who will be able to teach others also. This passage serves as the foundation for the ministry's name, mission, and commitment to generational discipleship.

At the heart of Adams's vision is a conviction that following Jesus involves more than professing faith; it means growing in the knowledge of God, being transformed by His Word, living in obedience to Christ, and helping others do the same. He desires to see believers move beyond simply attending church services toward becoming mature disciples who understand Scripture, develop spiritual character, discover their God-given assignments, and actively participate in the mission of Christ.

Through 222 Church and 222 Disciples, Adams seeks to cultivate a culture of biblical literacy, spiritual formation, prayer, evangelism, and disciple multiplication. His approach emphasizes knowing God both biblically and experientially: understanding what Scripture reveals about God while also developing a personal relationship with Him through prayer, worship, obedience, and daily fellowship. He believes that sound biblical teaching and genuine spiritual transformation should work together to produce believers who are grounded in truth and prepared for meaningful service.

A central component of Adams's vision is helping people discover their identity, purpose, and authority in Christ. He recognizes the importance of understanding who believers are in Jesus before attempting to fulfill their responsibilities in His Kingdom. Through teaching, mentorship, counseling, and discipleship, he seeks to help individuals address personal struggles, grow in spiritual maturity, strengthen their character, and become equipped to fulfill their God-given responsibilities. His vision also incorporates healing, deliverance, revival, and reformation, with an emphasis on transformation that reaches beyond individual lives and influences families, communities, and future generations.

Adams's ministry philosophy places a strong emphasis on prayer and the centrality of Scripture. He desires for 222 Church to develop as a house of prayer where believers learn to seek God, intercede for others, and become spiritually prepared for the work of ministry. He also emphasizes that spiritual growth should lead to practical action. Prayer, teaching, and revelation are intended to produce obedience, evangelism, service, and a greater commitment to making Christ known. His vision is not limited to building a congregation but extends to equipping disciples who can serve in their neighborhoods, cities, workplaces, families, and other spheres of influence.

Another defining element of Adams's leadership is his commitment to multiplication. The goal is not merely to gather people but to develop disciples who can teach and develop other disciples. This vision can be expressed through a progressive model of development: I teach, we teach, you teach, they teach. Through this process, individuals receive instruction, learn alongside others, gain opportunities to practice what they have learned, and eventually become equipped to train others. The desired outcome is a growing community of believers who carry the message of Christ beyond the original ministry and continue passing biblical truth from one generation to the next.

As the founder of 222 Church, Atiba Adams envisions a ministry that is more than a traditional church gathering. He sees it as a movement dedicated to restoring biblical understanding, cultivating prayer, equipping believers, encouraging spiritual renewal, and advancing the mission of Jesus Christ. His desire is to help people encounter God, experience transformation, become established in biblical truth, and fulfill their calling as disciples of Jesus.

The mission of 222 Church can be summarized in a simple but powerful commitment: Love God, love people, and make disciples. Through this vision, Atiba Adams seeks to contribute to a growing community of believers who know God, live out His Word, serve others faithfully, and equip the next generation to do the same.

Atiba Adams, M.A. — Founder of 222 Church

I'm Atiba Adams, founder of 222 Church — a Christ-centered discipleship movement built to help people discover their identity, purpose, and authority in Jesus Christ, and become equipped to make disciples who make disciples.

The name comes from 2 Timothy 2:2: entrust the truth of God's Word to faithful people who will be able to teach others also. That verse is our foundation — and our commitment to generational discipleship.

And that commitment shapes how I understand faith itself. For me, following Jesus is more than attending a service — it means growing in the knowledge of God, being transformed by His Word, and helping others do the same.

Love God. Love people. Make disciples.

Why "222"?

When I founded 222 Church, I didn't pick the name for a trend. It comes straight from 2 Timothy 2:2 — "the things you have heard from me… entrust to faithful people who will be able to teach others also."

That one verse holds the whole vision: take the truth of God's Word and hand it, faithfully, to the next person — who hands it to the next. Generation to generation.

That's what 222 Church is: not just a congregation, but a movement for restoring biblical understanding, cultivating prayer, and equipping believers to carry the message of Christ into their own neighborhoods, workplaces, and families.

Love God. Love people. Make disciples.

The mission of 222 Church in one line — and the heartbeat behind everything we do.

Atiba Adams founded 222 Church to help people know God biblically and experientially: to understand what Scripture reveals about Him, and to know Him personally through prayer, worship, and daily fellowship.

Which of the three are you growing in this week?

The discipleship model I build everything on: "I teach, we teach, you teach, they teach."

At 222 Church, the goal was never just to gather people — it's to develop disciples who can develop other disciples.

That's multiplication, not addition. It's how biblical truth keeps passing from one generation to the next — long after it leaves the original room.

A house of prayer.

My desire for 222 Church is that it grows into a house of prayer — a place where believers learn to seek God, intercede for others, and become spiritually prepared for the work of ministry.

But prayer and teaching aren't the finish line. They're meant to produce something: obedience, evangelism, service, and a deeper commitment to making Christ known. Revelation should lead to action.

Sound biblical teaching and genuine transformation, working together — that's what produces believers who are grounded in truth and ready for meaningful service.

Know who you are in Christ — before you try to do what He's called you to do.

So much of what I teach begins here: identity, purpose, and authority in Christ.

Through teaching, mentorship, counseling, and discipleship, Atiba Adams and 222 Church walk with people as they address personal struggles, grow in spiritual maturity, strengthen their character, and step into their God-given assignments.

Transformation that doesn't stop with one life — it reaches families, communities, and future generations.

Ministry beyond the four walls.

I've always seen 222 Church as more than a weekly gathering. Spiritual growth should lead to practical action — in neighborhoods, cities, workplaces, and families.

The vision includes healing, deliverance, revival, and reformation: transformation that reaches past the individual and influences whole communities and the generations that follow.

The aim is a growing community of believers who know God, live out His Word, serve others faithfully, and equip the next generation to do the same.

More than a church, it's a movement.

As founder of 222 Church, my prayer is for a ministry dedicated to restoring biblical understanding, cultivating prayer, equipping believers, and advancing the mission of Jesus Christ.

A place where people encounter God, experience real transformation, become established in biblical truth, and fulfill their calling as disciples.

If that's the kind of faith you're hungry for — to know God, live out His Word, serve others, and help equip the next generation — 222 Church was built for you.

Love God. Love people. Make disciples.
