How we calculate this
AAoA (Average Age of Accounts) is the mean age of every credit account on your file, measured from each account's open date to today. We sum the age of each dated tradeline and divide by the number of accounts.
Account age is a meaningful slice of your FICO score — it rewards a long, established history. We map your average to four educational tiers: Thin (under 2 yrs), Fair (2–5 yrs), Good (5–9 yrs), and Excellent (9+ yrs).
Closing old accounts and opening new ones both lower your average — which is why the Credit Hero playbook protects your oldest tradelines.
